Welcome Visitors

This website provides operational information to Pelican’s employees, sponsors and advertisers.  For this reason, most of the pages of this website are password protected.  However, visitors are always welcome at Pelican and the following general information is provided to acquaint visitors with us and to provide links to our publications’ websites.

Pelican Publications’ roots are based in geographical oriented periodicals because of its relationship with Wildlife Properties, a real estate development and brokerage firm licensed in Kansas and Colorado.  Wildlife Properties wanted a magazine that showed the good side of living in north central Kansas.  Wildlife Properties now sponsors two Kansas magazines titled Explore North Central Kansas and Explore Flint Hills Kansas. www.mywildlifemagazine.com

Pelican’s business has evolved into the publication of geographical oriented periodicals featuring feel good articles presented in a beautiful magazine layout.  As a “lifestyle” magazine portraying the beauty of a community in timeless articles, Pelican differentiates itself from “news” magazines which often portray the ugliness of a community in real time news bites.  This distinction gives Pelican’s lifestyle magazines a longer shelf life than news magazines.  This distinction also makes Pelican’s lifestyle magazines a great choice for distribution by those wanting to show the good side of a community.  (realtors, chambers, visitor centers, home shows)

Pelican publishes thirteen Colorado magazines in addition to the publication of two Kansas magazines.  The Colorado titles include quarterly seasonal magazines of Exploring the Front Range, Living in Arvada, Living in Boulder, Living in Castle Rock, Living in Evergreen, Living in Fort Collins, Living in Golden, Living in Greeley, Living in Lakewood, Living in Littleton, Living in Loveland, Living in Parker and Living in Westminster.  Like Pelican’s Kansas magazines, Pelican’s Colorado magazines are typically sponsored by real estate agents. www.livingindenver.co

Pelican’s clients include organizations such as economic development organizations and convention/visitor bureaus.  Pelican also offers customized magazines showing the good side of communities through magazines developed in cooperation with these types of organizations.
